Our Story

Here at Luxholdups, our mission is simple – to bring elegance, beauty, and strength to the objects around you. We only work with high quality, solid materials to create items that blend beauty and function.

We believe that elevating the quality of your everyday items elevates your every day.

Materials & Finishes

Since launching in 2013, team Luxe has set up both our workshop and offices in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We make all of our products here with love, and having everything in one place not only gives us superior quality control, but it also means we’re able to easily and quickly customize orders.

    Beginnings

Having grown up helping her dad in the woodshop, Luxholdups founder Ashley Platt learned early on about her true love for handcrafting (and how to get out splinters like a champ). As she graduated from working with wood to lucite, she soon discovered the beautiful combination of the subtle-yet-glamorous lucite with heavier, traditional materials such as brass.

Disenchanted by the quality (and price) of products on the market from big box retailers, Ashley began Luxholdups.
