FAQ

FAQS

Where are your products made?

All of our products are assembled by hand in our Brooklyn workshop.

Are your products made-to-order or do you carry stock?

All of our pieces are made-to-order. Lead times for each piece can be found on its product page.
We occasionally stock materials for select items, but we typically do not stock finished pieces or
custom finishes.

How do I take care of my hardware?

When it comes to lucite care, we say keep it simple. Just use soap and water to clean lucite, and
brass polisher for any unlacquered brass fittings.

Do you offer samples?

Please feel free to reach out to us at sales@luxholdups.com if you have any questions.

What is your warranty policy?

Luxholdups warrants that its products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for
a period of one year from the date of purchase. At their discretion, Luxholdups will repair or
replace the defective product with the same model (or an equivalent model if an identical model
is unavailable). This warranty does not cover the following:
1. Failure due to incorrect installation, failure to follow mounting instructions or use of a
product in a manner for which it was not intended.
2. Metal deterioration caused by exposure to atmospheric conditions beyond Luxholdups’s
control.
3. Reasonable wear and tear.
Please note that some of our hardware has a living finish and as such, will patina over time,
enhancing each piece with the beautiful and unique character reflective of hand finishing. It is for
this reason that finishes are not covered by our warranty.

Do you accept returns?

We will gladly accept returns on standard orders of $300 or less that are unused. Return requests must be received within 7 days (national) or 10 days (international) of receipt of merchandise. Please note you will be responsible for all shipping costs and as each item is handmade to order, there will be a 15% restocking fee.

Faulty or defective items will be replaced.

Shipping

Shipping

All our orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx or USPS depending on size, weight and location.
Lead times for all items are specified on each listing. We always do our best to fabricate and ship items as quickly as possible.

International Orders

Buyers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery. Please make sure that you are up to date with your own country’s customs fees. Here is a site that may help you figure out if you will incur customs fees – https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/

Are you able to expedite orders?

If the listed lead time doesn’t work for your schedule, please contact us before placing an order to discuss timing. We are happy to accommodate requests when we can, and while it is possible to speed up production on a case-by-case basis, this typically requires a rush fee based on the materials required and the timeframe.

What is needed to request a custom quote?

When contacting about custom curtain rod quotes please include:
1. number of completed curtain rods
2. length of each rod in inches
3. hardware finish
4. finials (if any)
5. number of rings (if any)
We can accommodate any length rod. Please reach out to us to discuss any special needs such as above-average weighted curtains, longer rods, etc and we’re happy to provide assistance with your order.

Can I purchase the brackets separately?

We do not sell our brackets separately. They can only be purchased with the rods.

How many rings should I order?

We recommend checking with your Curtain Fabricator for an exact count, or estimating 1 ring for every 4 inches of rod. Our rings are priced individually.

Are finials sold individually?

Yes, our finials are priced individually to allow you to customize your order for your space.

Pulls - FAQ

How do I best install my hardware?

We recommend that you install your hardware by first determining the number of holes needed and drilling a pilot hole or holes at the appropriate distance with a 1/8″ drill bit.

To avoid chipping the surface of your cabinet, put some painters tape over the place where you intend to drill the hole and remove once the hole has been drilled. Please make sure to install your hardware by hand with a screwdriver.

Power drills make it easy to strip screws, break mounting posts and damage the hardware. For additional inquiries about installation, please email sales@luxholdups.com.

Are pulls sold individually?

Yes, our pulls are priced individually to allow you to customize your order for your space. Are your pulls listed by center to center or overall lengths?

When you are selecting the length through the order, that is the center to center measurement. The center to center measurement is the distance between the center of one screw hole to the center of the other.
